San Carlos Train Station – Built in 1888

Why the DavidYoungBlog?

First, thank you for your visit. After 19 years in the San Carlos Real Estate market, I have some uniquely qualified perspectives. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the Real Estate Sales cycles. The Earth quake of 1989, the Persian Gulf War of the early 1990’s, the dot com boom of the late 1990’s and now the mortgage crisis of 2008-2009. The purpose of the blog is to create a forum of knowledge gained over that timeline. During the worst times, what types of homes sold and why? What pricing model created the best results? Where do the buyers come from? This site will be limited to real estate discussions only. If you need information about San Carlos dining, schools, City Hall, please refer to CityofSancarlos.org.

My goal is to give a 20 year perspective on San Carlos Real Estate on a micro and macro level. Too many times I see newly licensed Realtors with local Blog sites offering up limited perspectives on Real Estate sales.  I think some of their compiled information is quite useful but  I often have different opinions on their advice as it relates to San Carlos properties.  Selling eight hundred San Carlos homes has given me a wealth of local knowledge that many of my clients both benefit and enjoy.  I welcome the dialogue.

Kindest Regards;

David Young

San Carlos’s #1 agent for 19 consecutive years.

    I agree that times have changed and a seller will be better off with an agent who has worked through this type of market before. I look forward to reading more blogs.
